AddressDoctor has made significant improvements to the way Japanese addresses are processed and validated. Due to these changes, a new format for the Japanese database has been introduced.
eLOT: The Enhanced Line of Travel or eLOT product was developed by the United States Postal Service (USPS) to give mailers the ability to sort their mailings in approximate carrier-casing sequence. Mailers may use eLOT processing to qualify for enhanced carrier route presort discounts.
Alias Street Options: In version 5.2.9 a new option is available in Certified mode called Alias Street with the option values of “OFFICIAL” and “PRESERVE”. OFFICIAL will change the input alias street name to the USPS official street name, and PRESERVE will retain the input alias street name, unless it is a corrected alias, in which case it will be converted to the USPS official street name.
Customers can now obtain the standard 22-character street name abbreviation by setting the ResultElementAbbreviation to ON within the software library. All street names that are longer than 22 characters will be abbreviated, based on Deutsche Post standards, to 22 characters.
Version 5.2.9 brings better and improved address quality in order to help your organization make better decisions and ensure speedy postal delivery around the Globe.
