Accurate guest addresses with protel and AddressDoctor

The Challenge

ROBINSON welcomes guests from a range of countries around the world and uses protel MPE, protel hotelsoftware GmbH's multi-property hotel management system, to record their addresses – often from multiple sources. The club operator was therefore on the lookout for an address validation program that could be integrated into their existing system and could also correct international addresses.

The Solution: AddressDoctor for protel MPE

ROBINSON has been validating its guests' addresses directly in the protel hotel software system since 2010. This functions via an interface with the AddressDoctor web services. When club employees capture data, new addresses are automatically validated, corrected or completed by AddressDoctor. AddressDoctor can verify addresses in 246 countries and territories, such as Italy, Morocco and Spain. This means that the ROBINSON clubs have valid and complete addresses right from the start. "Address validation is essential for ensuring smooth communication between our clubs and their guests, both when making reservations and identifying new arrivals. AddressDoctor meets our requirements in every respect", said Bernd Schindler.
