AddressDoctor Software components

AddressDoctor software products are designed and developed in Germany. The latest generation of software components, also known as AddressDoctor Enterprise is the fourth generation of data quality tools from AddressDoctor. With a new high performance, object oriented design the core engine was developed in C++. The libraries are available on Windows, Linux and Solaris platforms. Ports to other Unix plattforms are available on demand.

All AddressDoctor applications and web services are now based on this new AddressDoctor engine (version 4.1). In addition to its native C++ interface, the libraries are also available with a C and Java API.
A COM object is available on the Windows platform. A single API for all 240 countries makes integration fast and easy.

The functionality is grouped into three components that can be used independently.

Transliteration (CSMT)

• Handle 40 different character sets
• Map string data between character sets
• Transliterate strings into the latin alphabet

Parsing (ASPE)

• Parse unstructured and structured address data
• Standardize address elements
• Format postal addresses

Address correction (GAVE)

• Work with postal data from 240 countries
• Validate and correct addresses
• Assess the deliverability of addresses
