For customers who maintain small databases or conduct one shot mail drops, investing in an AddressDoctor Tool is often not cost-effective. Now, however, the AddressDoctor Validation Service offers these customers a viable alternative:

An international financial services provider used our service to correct an address file to be used for a mailing. The subsequent analysis revealed the following: - 16.2 % of the addresses were correct.
- 36 % of the addresses could be corrected.
- 13.4 % of the addresses had a "good deliverability" rating.
- 10.7 % of the addresses had an "average deliverability" rating.
- 15.3 % of the addresses had a "poor deliverability" rating.
- 8.4 % of the addresses could not be processed.
By using AddressDoctor, this customer was able to save 15.3% of its mailing costs by eliminating undeliverable addresses.

Flug.de is a free service of Cinetic Touristik GmbH & Co KG. It was started in 1997 and was one of the first providers to offer flight reservations online. Since July 2001 the service has a new navigation design, new services and better back end technology. These enable customers to find and book flights more easily.
Flug.de offers an easy to use and extensive booking platform for private and business customers: It is connected to a world-wide independend reservation system and uses a specially designed query software. Therefore, it is possible to offer the official rates and additionally some extremely low consolidator- and last minute rates. Charter flights to the famous holiday destinations are available too. The internet flight service supports more than 480 flight associations and more than 16 millions flight rates.

The November data update!

Our customers have received enhanced reference data for 12 countries with the November 2001 data update. More detailed data was added to various countries. Also several synonyms were included for multilingual countries.
Here is a list of the countries contained in the update:
Egypt, Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Ghana, Haiti, Liechtenstein, Paraguay, Saudi Arabia, Hungary, United Kingdom, United States of America.

In this column we provide answers to frequently asked questions concerning international addressing. This issue covers the address format of Poland.
Polish addresses are structured as follows:
NAME
STREET-DESCRIPTOR STREET HOUSENUMBER
POSTAL-CODE LOCALITY
COUNTRY
The street descriptors indicate the type of the street. The following descriptors are the most common ones:
- pl. means square
- ul. means street
- al. means alley
The postal code contains 2 digits, a hyphen and another 3 digits. People tend to forget the hyphen while entering an address.
The last 3 digits indicate the delivery point. Post office boxes will always be abbreviated like shown in example 2. Skr. means skrytka and poczt. pocztowa.
Please make sure to always use the complete 5 digit postal code. Without it delivery will not be guaranteed. Here are some examples of correct addresses:
