More speed, flexibility, and versatility

New Web Service version 4.0 released

On July 1^st 2004, AddressDoctor introduced its Web Service version 4.0 to the market. With 10 times more speed and three new service interfaces, AddressDoctor offers new possibilities for data quality management: In addition to the interactive check, which corrects and formats single addresses within milliseconds, the new service also offers interfaces for the automatic completion of incomplete addresses. An online batch check for up to 750.000 addresses per hour is also included.

The AddressDoctor Web Service is the new foundation of the next generation of AddressDoctor products. Individual eCommerce as well as larger data base solutions can utilize the real-time data cleansing functions. Users benefit from AddressDoctor in call centers, in the maintenance of their customer databases, in online shops, and in datawarehouse projects.

Version 4.0 is a completely new development based on the Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP). The improvement of the parsing functionality was a priority for the development team around Sven Schreiber, Managing Director of Platon Data Technology. “AddressDoctor helps to sort, filter and reorder address elements. It fixes problems with incorrectly fielded data and eliminates comments and other non address related data placed in address data fields”, Sven Schreiber explains. “This is possible in just one or in all 240 countries simultaneously - regardless of whether data is processed in e.g. Latin script, Greek, Cyrillic or Japanese.”

AddressDoctor has implemented new technology which guarantees a time scale of at least 24 month maintaining consistently high growth.”

With the launch of service version 4.0, the modernization of the AddressDoctor product range is completed. After three years of development time the new system platform is now the core of all AddressDoctor products. The platform will soon be extended to include further services”, Schreiber adds.
