Free Data Audit at the Data Quality Center

Whether for your daily correspondence or for direct marketing activities, poor address data increases your mailing costs. However this can easily be avoided. The best approach is to validate your address data on a regular basis. You will reduce the number of undeliverable mailings and save postage costs.

AddressDoctor delivers an easy to use and precise solution: The Data Quality Center (DQC) is your personal Address Manager for the validation of postal addresses from around the world. The online system allows fully automated validation and enrichment of your address portfolios.

Free Data Audit
"I appreciate the DQC especially because of the Free Data Audit", explains Maraike Schulz, long-time user of AddressDoctor. "It allows me to get an overview of my data quality". The Free Data Audit lists the number of duplicates or hits for change of address and it shows you how many addresses need to be corrected. After having received the Free Data Audit, the customer can decide whether or not he wants to purchase and download the file directly including the corrected data.

Correct Addresses 24/7
With the recently implemented online-shop-system, you can not only validate addresses around the clock, but also purchase transactions for address processing at any time for immediate use.

Swiss Post International trusts in AddressDoctor
Swiss Post International has also recognized the benefits of the Data Quality Center. They engaged AddressDoctor in 2005 to develop a customized DQC. "Leveraging AddressDoctor’s global coverage we can assist our customers even better. With address cleaning we are able to achieve higher deliverability rates for our customers. Also the cost-per-contact can be decreased significantly", explains Bernard Germanier, Head of Marketing Mail International at Swiss Post International.

* Promotion valid until January 31, 2009, for all new Data Quality Center registrations.

Good to know: Check-list for the validation of international addresses

Do you know what to look for when validating international addresses? We provide you with six key points:

  • Number of different countries
If you need to validate addresses from different countries, look for a provider that manages data from at least 240 countries. In this case you can be sure that all countries are covered. You should also inquire about how detailed the reference data is (e.g. postal code, street or city-level) from the provider.
  • Timeliness and quality of the reference data
One of the most important criteria is the quality of the database to which addresses are compared. Detailed databases are good, but if they are not updated on a regular basis the quality will be affected.
  • Country specific address formats
Official address formats vary from one country to another. Each country has different rules as to how an address is set up. These regulations must be respected when validating addresses. Ideally your provider should format to country specifics free of charge after processing your address.
  • Special characters and writing systems
Are your addresses captured in non-Latin writing systems like Japanese or Chinese? If so, ensure your provider offers transliteration - ability to convert addresses in a different writing system. The software should also be able to process special characters, like in the name of the Polish city "Łódź".
  • Processing time
Ask whether the address list is being checked manually or is it an automated process. A manual correction will not only take a lot longer, but will also cost more.
  • Free Data Audit
Prior to purchasing a solution wouldn't it be great to understand the actual "condition" of your data? Ask for a Free Data Audit providing you a detailed analysis about the quality of your data. Then you can build a plan that fits your needs and gives you the best possible results.
