MICROS-FIDELIO ensures correct guest addresses

Market leader includes AddressDoctor in its software

The correct entry of guest addresses presents a problem for many hotels: the high pressure of time, international names and address formats, not to mention the transferring of often incorrect data from reservation systems - all complicate the daily routine as well as marketing campaigns.

With its newest version of the property management system Opera, MICROS-FIDELIO offers an acceleration of the check-in and billing processes and a better foundation for CRM. The version 2.6.3 of Opera contains as a standard AddressDoctor, the leading technology for world wide verification and correction of postal addresses.

MICROS-FIDELIO clients already using the new version require no additional effort for the installation and maintenance of the new function. MICROS-FIDELIO is already equipped with all the necessary gateways; the current addresses used for comparison are provided by AddressDoctor.

The manual entry of a guest address can be accelerated by up to 40% through the implementation of AddressDoctor. The systems offers a polished logic for data entry: in the event that a postal address is incompletely entered, only in the form of the first letters of the street and location for example, the system will recognize possible matches and then instantly list them in order of accuracy. The address content can, of course, also be checked with AddressDoctor. In batch mode, the system transfers the encoded data to AddressDoctor at any time during the day (open to specification) and immediately receives the results.
