AddressDoctor Provides Japanese Address Codes

The Choumei Aza code is an eleven digit code defining a unique delivery point for Japanese addresses. AddressDoctor’s Software Library automatically appends the address code to Japanese addresses if requested. The code serves as clear identification for an address as it exists only one code per address. Each of the eleven digits of Choumei Aza code represents one specific address element, like for example the prefecture or municipality. Customers can save the address code in combination with the complete address in their database. In case the code changes after address verification, they can conclude that the address has changed or is no more valid. This enrichment is at no additional charges for AddressDoctor customers. 1. CEDEX is a service of La Poste in France, allowing delivering mails and parcels to companies with higher priority. A CEDEX address is built of 5 characters followed by the locality name and the word CEDEX. This code can be followed by another identification number if there are more than one distribution points in one locality. If there is more than one arrondissement in one locality, the CEDEX code is followed by the one of the arrondissement. AddressDoctor Delivers Irish Address Verification and Certification by New Zealand Post

MAXDORF, GERMANY AND REDWOOD CITY, CALIF., November 26, 2012 Irish Postal Address Verification Due to popular customer demand, AddressDoctor now provides postal address validation and correction for Ireland. Ireland has not yet introduced a post-code system, therefore an Irish address currently, consists of the county, nearest post town and the town-land (rural addresses), city or town name, street name, house number and apartment or flat number (urban addresses). AddressDoctor’s new address validation software for Ireland is able to verify and correct those addresses built on a database containing almost 59,000 locality names and more than two million addresses. This enhancement will help customers ensure that mailings and shipments are correctly addressed in order to reach their destination in Ireland. “For Irish address validation, AddressDoctor uses high quality and detailed reference data in Ireland, providing building level coverage for more than 98% of the country”, says Steffen Niehues, vice president and general manager, AddressDoctor. “With the new Irish address data, customers can profit from superior accuracy when it comes to their Irish address validation.” Inaccurately addressed mail can cost organizations millions of dollars a year due to non-deliverable mail or delayed shipments. New Zealand Postal Certification Since 2008, the New Zealand postal authority offers a certification program to decrease the number of incorrectly addressed pieces of mail through the SendRight™ Address Accuracy Program. This program requires bulk mail customers to validate their postal addresses against New Zealand Post’s Postal Address File (PAF), and obtain a Statement of Accuracy (SOA). To obtain the certification, which allows for a postal discount, an SOA percentage of 85% must be achieved. The portion of mail pieces with inaccurate addresses below this percentage will be charged at the full standard mail rate. SendRight™ certification provides a process for address validation software to be tested for accuracy and quality address standards, and recognized as suitable to issue SOAs. The prerequisite for this is a complete, correctly printed and properly formatted address. It is therefore essential to check and where necessary correct the recipient address before sending. Thanks to automated solutions, the quality of existing or newly entered address data can be optimised simply and quickly. During the pre-Christmas period, the number of parcels and packages sent rises by up to 40%. In addition, gifts, personal greetings cards to customers and business partners or pre-Christmas special offers also create extra work for the postal service. If the items do not reach their destination at the required time, this is not only disappointing for the recipient but also looks highly unprofessional. Yet it's precisely when under time pressure that people make mistakes and so it often happens that, when clients or employees key in an address, mistakes are made or parts of the address such as the postal code are completely forgotten. Anyone capturing several hundred or even thousands of new addresses a day, such as an online shop, cannot take the time to add to or correct addresses manually. Quite aside from the extra work this entails, subsequent corrections also lead to additional and unnecessary costs. Unfortunately, often just a simple error in the address is enough to delay delivery to the recipient.
